Footage captured by video producer Andrew Kimmel shows Hastie being sprayed point-blank in the eyes. After being sprayed Hastie said, ‘Here, I’ll give you my card. Some of Mike Hastie’s work can be found on the The Portland Alliance, an alternative progressive media source, which reports on issues that they describe as “ignored or distorted by the corporate-dominated mainstream press.”

Mike Hastie’s emotional Vietnam Photo Essay entitled Lying is The Most Powerful Weapon In War is available at Vietnam Full Disclosure. He is also a contributor to Veterans for Peace.

Bruce K. Gagnon describes Hastie as “fierce and honest to the bone” and goes on to explain that Hastie was on the first Veterans For Peace delegation to Jeju Island, South Korea.
